This month, four students from SCA competed in the annual Albany State University high school Math Tournament. The team placed 5th out of 19 schools from the surrounding areas. The competition comprised of a 2-hour written test and a 10-question cyphering match. Topics included algebra, geometry, probability, trigonometry, number sense, and calculus.
Team members were seniors Andrew Orr and Charlie Taylor, and juniors Will Mahnken and Ashlynn Dapper. The team was coached by high school math teacher Mrs. Tiffany Carter. We are very proud of these students and their hard work! Go Eagles!
